Getting to Machu Picchu
The train from Ollantaytambo
Ollantaytambo is around 1 hour 30 minutes from Cusco by taxi or shared van. Daily trains run through the Valley to Aguas Calientes. Around 1 hour 45 minutes. We select the right departure for your entry time.
The bus from Aguas Calientes
The official bus runs every 10 minutes from 5:30am. 25 minutes up the mountain road to the citadel entrance. You can add a return bus ticket to your booking if you want one.
Getting into the citadel
Your ticket is for a set entry time and circuit. Bring the passport you booked with, as your name on the ticket comes from it. If you add transport, we choose timings with comfortable buffers so every part of your journey works together.
